The comprehensive one day course could save your life,and your crew ,the course is RYA/MCA approved

We at Sea Safety are mobile and can hold your course local to you that means no traveling(this is subject to availability of a pool) The course is held in two parts, first the theory in a classroom, where you will find out all about lifejackts and the different types that are available,find the best one for your type of sailing.

Do you know what an HRU is or the length of your painter line? all this will be explained to you in the classroom.

Are you aware what is in your survival pack within your raft this again will be explained in the classroom

We will then go to the poolside where you find out how to inflate the raft this will be inflated by you.You will also learn how to survive in the water and to look after yourself and your crew.This will also be the time to find out what it is like to be in the water with a lifejackt on and how it is fitted.(this is a good time to bring your own jacket if you wish)



Find out first hand the difficulties for men and women entering an uncooperative liferaft wearing foul weather clothing and an inflated lifejacket.

RYA / ISAF Offshore Safety Course



This Course satisfies the training by ISAF Reg. 6.01 for cat 0,1 and some cat 2 offshore races. 30% of the crew will be required to take the course

The aim of the course is to provide skippers and crew of yachts wishing to sail in OFFSHORE RACES with the skills and knowledge to deal with an emergency while at sea. (Min.7 persons) The course can be taken in modules.

•  Basic Sea Survival

•  RYA First Aid not always required

•  Seamanship / Weather forecasting

(The Sea Survival Course must have been taken within the last five years and first aid within 3 years.)


The RYA one day First Aid

Course £85.00

The R.Y.A. 1 day first aid course is aimed at all boat owners large or small and is designed to provide a good working knowledge of first aid at sea. Training is given in C.P.R. chest compression and resuscitation, bandaging a wound, apply direct pressure to control bleeding, immobilise a fracture and to show the contents of a Cat “C” first aid kit. (Min. 7 persons or see course dates, we can have less numbers at Wallasey)

Talks for your club's

Sea Safety can also arrange an evening for your Club on Sea Safety and first Aid.

The evening would include a live inflation of a Liferaft and lifejacket, and CPR with a dummy.
